Dominos is continuing its transparency theme, promising to eschew tabletop photography shenanigans in its ads, and inviting its customers to send in their real photos of piping hot Dominos product.
A short video shows just how unnatural food photography can be and sets up the premise that Dominos’ pizza can stand on its own, in person and in the company’s ads. The company invites people to “Show us Your Pizza” and upload unretouched pics to the Dominos site, to earn the chance to have submitted photos used in an ad campaign. Check it out and submit your photo here

How many times have you wanted to sit and dish about your love life (or lack thereof) with Carrie from Sex & the City? Well, if you can’t talk to Carrie, would you settle for the gal who plays her on TV? A new campaign to help promote the launch of the new SATC movie could win you a call from Sarah Jessica Parker on the opening day of Sex & the City 2 just by entering your phone number here.
The contest is sponsored by New Line, and the rules state that it absolutely will not give out or sell your info for any other purpose than for Sarah Jessica to ring you. How cool would it be if you won the phone call? How would you answer the phone? Knowing me, I wouldn’t answer a random number and miss the call! Also, how long would she talk to you for? I’d try and keep her one the line for a while… we have lots of shoes and fashion to discuss.

Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s are focusing on comfort food in a social media campaign aimed at keeping its customers, in particular young hungry guys, thinking about its new grilled cheese bacon burgers.
The campaign centers on the Carl’s Jr. andHardee’s Facebook pages where the “comfort place” has taken shape and opened yesterday for business. The combined sites have 116,800 fans. Visitors can try out an interactive application designed to remind people that cheeseburgers and comfort food go hand in hand. When the user activates the application, a 24-hour period begins with postings on their Facebook wall of cheesy songs like “Love Sandwich,” pep talks like “You smell incredible right now. Just incredible.” videos, pictures and words of wisdom.
Also on the pages, people can enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win weekly prizes that fit the comfort theme: slippers, a universal remote, a Carl’s Jr. or Hardee’s gift card and a shiatsu electronic massager. The sweeps ends March 26.

To launch its $5 Double Cheese Cheesesteak Sub, Quiznos is using a “hybrid” approach that employs the Web and social media to encourage consumers to engage with its TV commercial.
The QSR created an online sweepstakes (at QuiznosToaster.com) that requires using “hidden clues” in the commercial to answer trivia questions and thereby qualify for the chance to win prizes.
Quiznos also posted the commercial video in the “Quiznos Toaster” profile pages on YouTube and Facebook, encouraging consumers to pause and replay it to find the clues, and is tweeting about the contest on Twitter (@QuiznosToaster). Providing an email address is part of the registration process for entering the sweeps.
